Everything can be improved, even democracy...

...and even democracy in the United States; perhaps particularly in the United States.

It seems increasingly commonplace that because it is difficult to amend a constitution, then we can not make any improvements. In reality, the most improvement is made by small incremental steps to improve the system. With enough steps, the long journey to amend a constitution becomes so much easier. Not to make small steps is not to embark on the journey at all.
The same applies to other serious matters. Whether holistically or incrementally, it is possible to improve complex things like; the biosphere, the climate, the environment, and the general condition of society. From the personal level, locally, or at any scale imaginable.

Let's start with the biosphere. The measurements of progress are simpler than you might image; the physical amount of non-biological waste or pollution within it.

How? Start small and build. Small steps such as:
  1. Picking up three pieces of plastic every time you go to a beach.
  2. Plant a few trees every month, say a dozen.
  3. Grow some of you own food, even if it is in a indoor pot plant.
  4. Thinking of your own good deed. Something that rewards you, and by impact, everybody else in some way.
It all counts.

One Way or Another

Things That Go Toward the Bigger Picture

One way or another, comments and concepts incorporated in to this blog are (eventually) incorporated into the overall strategy for Agribusiness Global Allies and its initiatives in improving the biosphere/climate.
For example, one elusive concept being pursued is 'how' to form member-based organisations around paying members for doing things to benefit the cause of the entity, rather than getting them to pay for the privilege of being a member (and paying staff to do those things).

Not as easy as it may first appear.

Ways to Pay for Beneficial Climate Actions

Help us find (more) ways to reward anyone and everyone for beneficial climate actions.

To clarify,
  • by 'reward' we mean to reward you in as many ways as possible; to award, acknowledge, recognise, and yes, a pay them.'
  • by 'climate action' we mean taking actual beneficial physical action to improve the climate. We don't mean taking protest-type 'climate action' like asking politicians to 'do something'.

How much should we pay them?
As much as the world market can bear.

We've found a couple of new ways to pay,
and will implement them via agribusiness.io
from 2020 onwards.

We ask you, anyone, any organisation, to help find even more ways. Send us your thoughts via our climate improvement action email address and be rewarded for your efforts.

Or, leave a comment below...

The Most Important Thing

The most important thing is Mother Earth.

Without Her, there is no you.

Look after your Mother.

You Can Improve Everything; Even Democracy

You Can Improve Everything; Even Democracy

Only human innovation can grow beyond boundaries

There is no Planet B, yet. The only thing that can grow beyond our own biosphere is our collective intelligence driving innovation. Only human innovation can grow beyond the limits of our planet.
"Only human innovation can grow our boundaries beyond proven safe limits"
Ultimately, the economy cannot grow beyond the physical limits of Mother Earth. Unless, and until it can access resources beyond it. Until that tomorrow, it is the biosphere that limits economic growth. It is the economy that limits the growth of humanity.

Until we reach the stars,"down to Earth" biosphere limits really matter
Within a biosphere-bounded economy, our global economy can only grow up to the safe ecological limits of our biosphere. When those limits are reached, only innovation can safely grow the global economy (and only within the same limits).

To grow the economy beyond the safe living limits of our biosphere, only physical resources beyond our planet can safely grow it further.

The key question is then; what is the safe, genuinely sustainable physical limits of the Earth's biosphere?

Until that is confidentially and scientifically understood, the economy is contained by the biosphere, and not the other way around. The economy can only change from within, not from without; until

Sadly, because everything is contained within, there will be many more Earth wars before humankind ever gets to fight any "Star Wars".
